HELP DOCUMENTS
The
following job guides will help you navigate through the course
application, request and enrollment process. If you need additional assistance,
please contact our HelpDesk at helpdesk@ILvirtual.org.
HOW
TO NAVIGATE THE STUDENT APPLICATION PROCESS - Completing the Illinois
Virtual School (IVS) application is the first step for students interested in
taking an online course. Once the application is completed and submitted, the
student will have his/her login and password (credentials) automatically
generated. NOTE: If the student is a home schooled student, select Home School from
the list of districts and schools.
HOW
TO NAVIGATE THE COURSE REQUEST PROCESS - Using credentials created in the
application process, students can log in to request their IVS course(s). The
course request will trigger an email to the schools registrar (i.e., contact
person identified for the public or private school). The student’s request will
remain pending until the schools registrar logs into the IVS system and
approves the student for enrollment. See How to Navigate through the Enrollment
Process below for school registrar directions.
HOW
TO NAVIGATE THROUGH THE STUDENT ENROLLMENT PROCESS - The school registrar will
receive an email once a student from their school requests an IVS course(s).
This job guide helps the registrar with the course approval process.
HOW
TO VIEW STUDENT GRADES - COMPLETION REPORTS - This document provides the
steps for viewing student grades. Directions are given for schools to view
student grades from a school view and individual view. The document also
provides steps for students to preview their own grades.
